Taking Center Stage – Florida Marlins Hold Finals for 2010 Mermaids Dance Team at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, January 22 at 9 p.m.

Four New Members to Join Marlins Team Mission to Iraq

WHAT:             The Florida Marlins invite South Floridians to the watch the final audition for the 2010 Marlins Mermaids Dance Team. Narrowed over 120 hopefuls, over 50 remaining dancers will vie for a coveted spot on this year's squad. The event will consist of dance performances and swimsuit modeling.

Finalists have endured a week-long boot camp, learning routines and participating in individual interviews to see who has the spirit and skill to root on the 2010 Florida Marlins.

In addition, four lucky Mermaids will join the team during its upcoming trip to visit the soldiers in Iraq, January 24 – February 1.  The trip is the first for any Major League team since the war in Iraq started.
