Passion Nightclub at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Host "Rock the Race: A Kentucky Derby Bash" Benefiting the Ann Storck Center, May 1
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Racing aficionados by the dozens, dressed in their racing finery, will once again trot to the Seminole Hard Rock & Casino on Saturday, May 1 from 4-7 p.m. for "Rock The Race: A Kentucky Derby Bash" to benefit the programs and services of the Ann Storck Center. The event will feature mint juleps, hors d'oeuvres, silent auction and large flat screen TVs that display the 136th running of the Kentucky Derby. The event will be held at Passion Nightclub in Seminole Paradise.
"Last year's Rock the Race Derby Day was not only a great success for the Ann Storck Center, it was a great party enjoyed by a whole new group of Ann Storck Center supporters," said Jim McGuire, executive director of the Ann Storck Center.
Delicious delights will be provided by Timpano, Samba Room, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Fort Lauderdale Country Club, Lauderdale Grill, and Publix. Guests will also enjoy complimentary beverages provided by Stephen's Distributing, Budweiser, Xanté, and the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade.
"Rock The Race" will also feature a one-of-a-kind derby hat fashion show presented by the Fashion Design Department of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and a silent auction featuring original Ann Storck Center artwork and luxury gift packages. Guests may also bid on the designer hats from the fashion show.
