2010 Jason Taylor Celebrity Golf Classic Presented by BankAtlantic Kicks off May 16 at Martorano's Italian-American Kitchen at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel

FT. LAUDERDALE – NFL All-Pro Jason Taylor, the 2007 NFL Man of the Year, and his wife, Katina, will host the seventh annual Jason Taylor Celebrity Golf Classic Presented by BankAtlantic on May 16-17, 2010.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the Jason Taylor Foundation, Holtz Children's Hospital and Take Stock in Children.

A list of superstars with a resume that includes four members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, more than 500 quarterback sacks, 255 touchdowns, 77 Pro Bowl appearances, 63 All-Pro selections, four Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Awards, a Heisman Trophy and more that 56 million albums sold world-wide, will participate in this year's Classic, which begins this Sunday evening, May 16, with the Martorano's Dinner & Charity Auction. 

The Taylors have teamed up with celebrity cook, Steve Martorano, to host their star-studded affair at the restaurateur's newest dining experience, Martorano's Italian-American Kitchen at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel.  With its signature Philadelphia-inspired, Italian flavor and flair, the venue is sure to provide the perfect atmosphere for the Jason Taylor Foundation's premier event, which will be emceed by Joe Rose of NBC-6 and 560 WQAM, and will feature the sounds of DJs Joey Martorano and Michael Marino (DJ 1Tre) throughout the evening.  All golfers will tee off at Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Fla. on Monday morning, May 17.

This all-star guest list features some of the biggest names in sports including Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino, Hall of Famer and NFL Career Sack Leader Bruce Smith, Zach Thomas (Miami Dolphins legendary linebacker), Cris Carter (former NFL All-Pro), Anthony Munoz (Pro Football Hall of Famer), Ricky Williams (Miami Dolphins running back), Chad Henne (Miami Dolphins quarterback), Jonathan Ogden (10-time NFL All-Pro), Chris Doleman (eight-time Pro Bowl performer), O.J. McDuffie (two-time Miami Dolphins MVP), Dwight Stephenson (Pro Football Hall of Famer), Craig Ehlo (14-year NBA veteran) and a host of others.  In addition, Pop Star Chris Kirkpatrick (*NSYNC) will join in on the festivities.

For the fifth consecutive year, JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC, have generously donated a Scion tC for the raffle (www.Scion.com).  Tickets are available for a $100 contribution (each) to the Jason Taylor Foundation and the winning ticket will be drawn following the golf tournament on Monday.  A maximum of only 500 tickets will be sold and one lucky winner will drive away in a 2010 Scion tC.
