HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Twenty new smokin' hometown heroes will heat up Seminole Paradise at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Thursday, August 19 at 7 p.m., when South Florida Firefighters unveil their 2011 calendar. The calendar cuties will fire up the crowd in support of Here's Help and A Safe Haven for Newborns charities.

About Here's Help
Founded in 1968, Here's Help has become one of Miami-Dade County's premiere providers of residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment, annually serving 800 adolescents and young adults starting at the age of 13. Funded by local, state and federal contracts, Here's Help has excelled as a substance abuse treatment provider and is lauded by the Departments of Corrections, Department of Juvenile Justice, Department of Children and Families (DCF), and Probation and Parole for its treatment, educational and preventive services. Recognizing the contribution of the agency's Alternative Therapies Program to the field of chemical dependency, the Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association and DCF awarded this program First Place statewide as an Exemplary Treatment Facility in 2002.
About A Safe Haven for Newborns
A Safe Haven for Newborns began in response to the tragedy of infant abandonment in Florida. The Safe haven law is a safety net for both the mother and the newborn infant. Instead of abandoning a newborn to an almost sure death, it allows mothers, fathers or whoever is in possession of an unharmed newborn, approximately seven days old or less, to leave them at a Safe Haven facility - any hospital staffed 24/7, fire rescue station or emergency medical service station staffed 24/7 - with no questions asked, totally anonymous and free from fear of prosecution. Gloria M. Silverio Foundation – "A Safe Haven for Newborns" is a private, non-profit organization, tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
